Tracey Reed, Director of Library Services for the Warminster Township Free Library, has over 30 years experience in libraries. She started her career as a shelver at the Abington Free Library and hasn’t looked back. Her dedication to libraries grew stronger through moves to Seattle, where she worked for the King County Library System, to Florida, where she spent 16 years at the Clearwater Public Library System. During her time there, she implemented the Virtual Library and Call Center, ran the busiest branch for which she oversaw the building of a new location (and the subsequent move of the Library to the new location; opening the new Countryside Library in October 2015). In 2016, she moved to back to the Philadelphia area and worked as the Manager of the Levittown Library, ultimately finding her work home at the Warminster Library in 2018.
Her library passions include including the community in the library and the library in the community, while making sure people know all the wonderful resources available to them at the library, and maintaining services for all library users, including underserved populations.
