Krisy has always loved literature and began writing at an early age. She was exposed to a whole new world of books while volunteering in the Library at Central Bucks East High School which deepened her love of reading. Having had her first job in the center of Doylestown, she has long-lasting ties to the Borough and its businesses.
She began at the Doylestown Bookshop in 2002. Taking small breaks here and there to raise her family. Krisy was a founding member of First Friday Doylestown and volunteered her time marketing and publicizing the event prior to and after its initial launch. After years of being on the committee, she ended as the group’s Senior Director of Communications and Logistics.
Krisy has volunteered and worked with Merchant’s groups in Doylestown throughout the years, serving as Secretary, Publicist, Social Media Manager and event volunteer. In 2014 she was voted onto the Board of the Doylestown Business and Community Alliance, now known as Discover Doylestown. Having served on the Marketing committee and Arts Festival Committee, Krisy was voted in as Vice President and served in 2016 and 2017. At this time she became chair of the Membership Committee.
She is also on the committee for and is the head of Marketing and Publicity for the Main Street Voices Poetry Contest which is just celebrated its fifth year. In her free time, she is a freelance writer, with articles published in a number of local magazines.
Krisy has a working knowledge of Doylestown after over a decade of volunteer service and event management, and has excellent relationships that were built out of that spirit of volunteerism. She is thrilled to be a part of the Bucks County Book Fest.
